Majority of use comes from patients with varicose veins (stretched vein), DVT (deep vein thrombosis), chronic venous insufficiency, traveling etc.

Doctors will prescribe “Graduated Compression Stockings” to aid in the process of getting blood back to the heart.

When you walk your leg muscles help squeeze the veins and push blood towards the heart. There are one way valves in the veins that prevent reflux (back flow) or pooling of blood in the leg veins. Once someone has unnaturally stretched veins it can’t be changed but rather treated to prevent further damage. Graduated compression stockings squeeze tightest at the ankle and gradually decrease compression up the leg. This ensures you’re pushing blood from the bottom up back to the heart. In essence, compression helps the “pump” action of your muscles on the veins and also reduces the veins diameter allowing blood to flow quicker up towards the heart.

Think about when you run a long distance. All your blood is not only being forced down by gravity but you’re pounding the pavement one step at a time. This can cause blood to pool and lactic acid to build up. Over time, you may even see Varicose Veins and discoloration. This can all be prevented if GRADUATED compression stockings are worn. CEP was developed by the world leader in medical compression. We have over 55 years of experience and guarantee you’ll love our product within 30 days of purchase! If you don't just take it back to the store you bought it within 30 days and ask for a refund.

_______________

Arteries

- Transport oxygen rich blood from the heart to the organs and extremities
- Outer and inner muscular walls of the arteries maintain pressure and diameter.

- For the athlete arterial circulation is key and can help “Peak Performance”

How does CEP Compression help with arterial circulation?

Every cell in the body needs oxygen for power. The arteries – which have inner and outer walls that maintain diameter – deliver these key nutrients. Recent discoveries reveal that inner arterial walls relax (dilate) when a consistent, optimal amount of compression is exerted on the artery. A medical study conducted by the University of Dresden showed that compression (18mmHg is the optimal amount of targeted, consistent compression) can increase arterial blood flow up to 40% during activity & 30% during recovery. As a result, athletes who use CEP products benefit from more oxygen and nutrients, gaining power, recovering more quickly and improving performance. Our patent compression profile exerts a targeted CONSISTENT amount of compression on the muscles thus achieving the optimum blood flow.

CEP Compression – Medically Proven Performance

What if a runner discovered they could improve their marathon time by 5% simply by changing socks? Dr. Wolfgang Kemmler of the Institute of Medical Physics, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany discovered that runners using CEP compression sportsocks had 5% faster running times while using 6% less energy. Kemmler’s study, published in the January, 2009 edition of the Journal of Strength and conditioning, shows that CEP Running Compression Sportsocks are medically proven to improve performance.

How does CEP Speed Recovery?

Recovery is essential before any athlete can perform at the top of their game. With CEP compression sportsocks athletes receive GRADUATED medical grade compression. This compression is highest at the ankle – then it gradually decreases as the sock goes up the leg. The result is a reduction in vein diameter that pushes de-oxygenated blood, lactic acid and other waste back to the heart for re-circulation. Benefits include a speedier recovery and improved muscle response.

How is CEP different than every other compression product?

First and foremost we are made by the World Leader in medical compression, medi. We have over 55 years of experience making compression and for this reason have access to the most advanced knitting processes and technologies. Secondly our compression is tuned specifically for athletic performance. You don’t need 3 different types of products with different materials and compression levels. There’s only ONE targeted compression level that can increase blood flow and dramatically improve performance. This targeted compression was developed and patent by us in Germany. Our product is proven by a published medical study which alone gives us an overall market position as the most credible compression company to date.
<div style="color: black; The running socks were unbelievable. My calves and shins felt great the entire marathon. My legs still felt like they some "pop" at the end of the race.

Also, no blisters! That's a first for any marathon I've run!

And the usual next day leg soreness was significantly reduced.

Tell us your thoughts about CEP products?

Top Notch! I have consistently had a difficult time finishing a longer race (half ironman or longer) without having my calves cramp at some point on the run. This is very frustrating after all of the hours of training. So my goal was to finish strong without cramping as well as have reduced inflammation and soreness the next few days after.

How did CEP help you?

Ever since I started wearing my CEP socks on longer runs (over 13 miles) I have not had one single issue with a calf cramp. At the end of IM CDA I did not have the spastic feeling of "when is my calf going to lock up on me". I probably Rock my CEP socks every chance I get!!

Tell us your thoughts about CEP products?

People in my running and triathlon groups thought I was a little weird when I started sporting them on longer rides, runs and races. But I absolutely love my two pair. Would probably wear them every day if I could. Really liked the black pair since I can wear them as dress socks to work the next day after a half ironman or marathon :)

What was your goal?

Beat my previous IM time of 14:00:52 at IM Arizona and a streatch goal if everything went well of 13:30:00 on a much tougher course at IM CdA.

How did CEP help you?

I have a had issues with calf cramping during the swim and run in previous races. For a boy for Louisiana (very flat land) going up to Idaho (Very Hilly Land) and coming under my goal was great.

How did CEP help you?
During training i have been having some leg issues so i thought i would give CEP a try. What a difference it makes not only running in my CEP's but also for post workout recovery. I feel stronger longer on the run and recover quicker than before. What else can i ask for!

Tell us your thoughts about CEP products?

I tried another brand before CEP but the were returned the next day. The fit just wasn't right and i didn't think the compression was what it should be. After e-mailing CEP about sizing issues and getting a very quick response i went online and purchased a pair. The fit, compression, everything just felt right about them.

Which 2009/2010 event did you enter?

Ironman Series Triathlons

What was your goal? My goal, since living in Boston over 30 years ago was to one day run the Boston Marathon -- it was on my bucket list!!

How did CEP help you? I wore the hot pink CEP knee socks and the compression worked great! In 2008, I qualified for Boston by running the Royal Victoria Marathon even though at 21 miles tearing my calf muscle. The year before Victoria was my first setback, I ended up being medivaced from Juneau, Alaska to Seattle, Washington because of a potential blood clot. I now wear compression hose when traveling. Wearing the CEP socks was a first for me while running and they did work beautifully, no cramping, aching. And, I had the added benefit of people yelling "go pink socks", and "great socks." Would I run in them again -- absolutely! Thank you. As I was planning on walking the race, I thought I would use the running socks to prevent some fatigue and keep my muscles warm. I just wanted to finish the race and not be in crazy amounts of pain.

How did CEP help you? I had separated my shoulder playing soccer 7 weeks prior playing soccer and pretty much stopped training for the half. As I flew to Nashville from Chicago and my mother came from Boston, I wasn't going to drop out- I planned on walking the entire half to prevent calf issues and leg pain from the hills (Chicago is flat- I was even more unprepared). My legs felt so great with the compression that I was able to run a fair amount of the course when I expected to walk 90%- I was only 4 minutes off my PR, even with the lack of preparation and unexpected hills! I give serious credit to the socks for allowing me walk the next day :-)

Tell us your thoughts about CEP products? I'm a certified orthotist for a top O&P company. Every morning I fit compression stockings on patients for venous insufficiency and lymphedema.... I just never got around to getting a pair designed for active use for my running. After using them for the half marathon and having them save my calves, I won't do a long run without them. I noticed a huge difference in recovery time, and they are great for any athlete- even the slower runner like me! I've already recommended them to my friends and coworkers.

Which 2009/2010 event did you enter? Rock N Roll Marathon

What was your goal? I went into the Boston Marathon with the hopes to squeak under 3 hours and ended up running a 2:51.

How did CEP help you? All my training was geared toward a 3hour finishing pace. I had never run a 2:51 (6:30 pace and change) in any of my training runs. The only thing i changed race morning was adding the CEP socks! They clearly minimized the fatigue which allowed me to push a little harder and longer. In addition, the pink socks were a crowd favorite. Since Boston the Pink CEP's have become a staple to my race day wardrobe.
The second half of my race schedule changes to ultras (50's and 100's) and can't wait to get the pink CEP's on the trails.

Tell us your thoughts about CEP products?LOVE the product! I first learned about compression socks when a close friend of mine was in the hospital. Anything that allows you to recovery quick and train harder is ok with me...legally speaking :)

Which 2009/2010 event did you enter? Boston Marathon

What was your goal? To beat my time from earlier in the year at IM 70.3 New Orleans. I won my age group at New Orleans 70.3 earlier this year, but suffered on the run. Kansas was a challenging course with a lot of rolling hills. I expected to be wiped out going into the run. (I tied for the fastest bike split in my age group.) My legs felt great on the run! I kept checking my watch as the splits seemed too easy. I finished strong, with no calf pain whatsoever. I ended with the fastest run in my AG and ended up winning by 10 minutes! I've worn several types of compression socks and by far CEP have been the best. I researched them before buying and was impressed that they were made with medical precision.

Tell us your thoughts about CEP products?

I love the fact that CEP has sleeves along with socks. I wear the socks on my long runs, but the sleeves during triathlons. I live in North Dakota and have to either fly or drive long distances to compete. I never travel without them. They keep my legs from swelling and speed my recovery too.

What was your goal?

I was injured with a stress fracture in my right ankle, and my goal was to come back at the Seattle Rock and Roll Marathon and run the entire marathon successfully.

How did CEP help you?

I wore the socks the entire marathon and they really helped blood flow to the feet and legs and helped my ankle feel great the whole way through and get across that finish line!

Tell us your thoughts about CEP products?

I love these socks!! I did and decided I would try to push and maybe someday run a Half Marathon. I added miles and in Mid April I hurt my Achilles Tendon. I persevered though but it didnt get better. Not wanting to fail in my goal as I lost 50 pounds so far, I tried everything I could think of to get my tendon (and subsequently my knees) back into better working condition.

How did CEP help you?

Someone suggested compression socks. I tried a long run (12 miles) without them. It took me nearly 3 hours and I ended up very sore. I ran a 6 mile trial with the socks and ended up with zero pain and better pace. I used them for the Seattle Rock and Roll Half Marathon - I FINISHED IN 2:30:10!!! and no - zero -none pain in my heal or knees!!! My training for the 2010 marathon was going better than expected. I was confident and excited and then.... tendinitis in my ankle just 4 weeks before the big day. I took a week off from running following the RICE method of recovery. I wore my compression socks every day during that week. Then I started to run again and wore my compression socks during runs as well as afterwards for recovery. I would have never been able to not only finish Boston but also finish with a qualifying time for next year without my CEP compression socks. They have been a lifesaver for me (and my family too who knows that Mommy without a run can be a little edgy!)

Tell us your thoughts about CEP products?

Well, as I mentioned, after my injury, I have been wearing compression socks every day. Since I only own 2 pairs (both CEP brand), I was constantly washing them. As Boston approached I wanted to order another pair and decided to try a different, cheaper brand. I received the new socks, tried them on and immediately shipped them back. They could not compare to CEP. My husband told me that I should not bother trying another brand because CEP is the best (he is also a fan but prefers the calf sleeves). So from now on, I will only buy CEP brand compression socks and I have spread the word about the healing power of these socks. I am thankful to have found them and will continue to use them as I train for my next Boston Marathon.

Which 2009/2010 event did you enter?

Boston Marathon

- James E. The socks have helped speed my recovery. I especially noticed between mile 15-17 of the race, after a very steep downhill, my calves started to cramp big time, and I fully believe that compressions socks saved me. After a few minutes, the cramps went away when the course evened out again and I cruised all the way to the finish feeling great.

I will always race with them now. Thank you CEP!

Tell us your thoughts about CEP products?

I love the fit, feel and design of CEP socks. No other product matches CEP’s science, quality or value. Don’t overlook the CEP advantage… it’s the best on the market. – Dave Scott, 6-time Ironman World Champion

While racing in CEP SportSocks I noticed that my legs felt sharp the entire run. Whenever I asked my legs for quicker turnover they were able to respond. I also noticed a faster recovery after racing with my CEP compression socks – and recovery is key to any great performance. – Andy Potts, Ironman 70.3 World Champion, Triathlete

After 15 years of racing professionally, I believe that recovery and taking care of your body is vital and possibly the most overlooked aspect of racing by athletes of all levels. I use CEP socks in hard training sessions, and most importantly in daily use. I am on my feet a lot with training and two kids… Life doesn’t stop so I need to know I am helping my legs throughout the day. – Matt Reed, US Olympian & Triathlete
